Wean Foundation REI Workshop Dates Announced

January 6, 2023 (Warren, Ohio) – The Raymond John Wean Foundation has announced their Race Equity and Inclusion Workshop dates for 2023. The two-day virtual sessions will take place on February 22 & 23, June 14 & 15, November 8 & 9 and November 15 & 16.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to register for an early workshop as spots are limited and later sessions tend to fill up. Before registering, participants should ensure they can attend for the entirety of the two-day training.

“I found the training to be so humbling and eye-opening. …The content of the training was detailed and engaging. I would highly recommend this training to others. It highlights racial justice and racial equity in ways which are inspiring and motivating,” says Clinton Householder, an attorney with Community Legal Aid Services, Inc.

The workshops, hosted by ThirdSpace Action Lab, are designed to develop the capacity of participants to better understand racism in its institutional and structural forms. Moving away from a focus on personal bigotry and bias, this workshop presents a historical, cultural and structural analysis of racism.
